Apart from cattle insemination, ANIMAL BREEDING AND INSEMINATION CENTER Ltd in B Y D G O S Z C Z is engaged also in insemination of sows. We buy animals from outstanding breeding herds in Poland, hybrid companies (PIC, Pen Ar Lan) and from import. Our sows considerably exceed by parameters those from other herds in Poland. For example: average fleshiness amongst maternal breeds like Polish Landrace and Large White, owned by ANIMAL BREEDING AND INSEMINATION CENTER Ltd in B Y D G O S Z C Z exceeds 61 %, and the daily weight gain is more that 750 grams.
The semen produced at our Center meets the requirements of European Union. Now we have about 500 sows from which 55 % represent domestic breeds (Polish Landrace and Large White), 35 % are hybrid sows (mostly of duroc and pietrain breeds), the other 10 % are duroc and pietrain, and also a hybrid line PIC and Pen Ar Lan. Our sales amounts to circa 700 000 dozes of sow semen.
